Callen is currently serving in the office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice as Deputy Chief State Counsel, Head of Litigation Department and also Deputy Regional Head in administrative duties. She is a Certified Public Secretary and a Certified Mediator.

She is a well-trained leader and holds a certificate with distinction in Senior Management and Strategic Leadership from the Kenya School of Government. Callen is committed to Social Advocacy, Restorative Justice and empowerment of the youth, and in particular is a boy-child crusader.
